The Melanated Mommy Tribe Perinatal & Postpartum Services

All services listed are provided by Dr. Kim LO perinatal mental health specialist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Gottman's Bringing Baby Home Facilitator, Seven Principles to Making Marriage Work leader, Gottman Couples Therapist (Level 3 trained) and DONA trained birth doula. She is also the owner and Clinical Director at Life Begins Here Therapeutic & Counseling Services and the founder of The Melanated Mommy Tribe. But most importantly...she is also a mother of two.

The Total Package

  • Three mental/ emotional health office/ telehealth visits (60 min sessions) throughout your pregnancy ($525 value)

  • Four postpartum mental/ emotional health office visits (45 min sessions) ($700 value)

  • Weekly check ins via email 

  • Access to multiple resources and network of providers (I.e. sex therapist, Pelvic Floor Therapist, Fitness Coach who works specifically with Melanated Mommy Tribe members)

  • Assistance in creating an individualized birth plan

  • Emotional, mental and informational support throughout pregnancy and during postpartum (up to 12 weeks postpartum)

  • Provide and teach techniques that research has shown to improve labor and birth experience (physical and mental exercises).

  • Participation in Bringing Baby Home Workshop (Expires a year after babies birth) ($350 value)

  • Initial breastfeeding support

  • Membership in The Melanated Mommy Tribe

The Prenatal Support Package

  • Five mental/ emotional health office visits (60 min sessions) during pregnancy ($875 value); these sessions can be a joint session with a support person (i.e. partner, parent, friend, or someone else who may be attending your birth)

  • Weekly email check ins and phone support as needed throughout pregnancy

  • Assistance in creating an individualized birth plan

  • Provide and teach techniques that research has shown to improve labor and birth experience (physical and mental exercises).

The Postpartum Support Package

  • Five postpartum mental/ emotional health office visits (60 min sessions) ($750 value)

  • Sessions will include education on ways to address perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (I.e. postpartum depression and anxiety, etc)

  • Bi-weekly email check ins (up to 3 months postpartum)

  • Emotional, mental and informational postpartum support

  • Participation in Bringing Baby Home Workshop (Expires a year after babies birth) ($350 value)

  • Initial breastfeeding support

  • Membership in The Melanated Mommy Tribe
